FEMA Public Assistance Policy Analyst
Guardian Grant Advisors is looking for a FEMA Public Assistance Policy Analyst to join our team. We are a growing consulting firm providing services to our clients. We are adding to our team experienced and talented professionals who will work directly with our clients communicating and providing policy knowledge and guidance. The ideal candidate should have previous experience with the FEMA Public Assistance delivery model, be knowledgeable of the Stafford Act, 44 CFR and how policy is applied to FEMA PA grants. Additionally, due to the complex nature of this work and incorporation of COVID related projects and updated policy; experience advising others on complex eligibility issues and policy is imperative to be successful in this.
Responsibilities Include:
Working with the client clearly communicating policy guidance Maintaining an up-to-date reference of current policy, guidance, fact sheets and procedures as it relates to the interpretation and implementation of eligibility within the FEMA PA program.
Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data Submitting reports to the relevant department heads and management Identifying patterns and trends related to expenses to determine reasonable costs.
Assisting with the development of documents or guidance for others on addressing COVID related projects to ensure updated and existing policy is applied to receive eligible FEMA PA funding.
In this role, candidates must have:
Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
At least four years' experience on FEMA PA Projects applying and or making policy and eligibility determinations
Prior experience writing and reviewing large Category B Project Worksheets is desired
Leadership skills with proven experience managing a small team Strong analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills Report writing and presentation skills
